Scuba Diving

Hey all...just closed on Calle Belize 204 - #19. I'm totally pumped. I've been a diver all my life and would like to form a little diving group (nothing official of course). I know some great dives in the area and some fabulous websites to look at for local diving.

I don't think I am quite ready to join your club as I have never dived before. However, My son (13) and I are very interested in learning now that we own property here as well so I look forward to any and all advise I can get from your group. I can't wait to learn!!! Very Happy

Hope you share all your experiences and advise!!!

Well imagine that... not only are we neighbors.. (we're in 18), but we're in the process right now of getting our diving certs!

Two of the full time residents, Alex and Laura have their own dive business. They live in the blue house on Calle Cuba, Manzana 209. They are from Italy, have lived in the development longer than us(3 plus years) and are very very nice.

both my husband and I are divers- We have done a lot of diving off Akumal- Lobster Canyon and Halfmoon are very nice sites. We thought there was a lot of sand on the reef this last trip ( residual from hurricanes 3 yrs in a row) but still lots to see and more to see Shocked

<--- my face when I met Barry the barracuda in Akumal Bay ...aww...he's a big pussy cat. We also met christened another 4 footer cuda Pedro. OUr first purchase for our new casa- underwater camera!

Just met Alex and Laura - lovely people. They speak Italian and it sounds like music ....
Their little girl also speaks Italian and is as cute as a button!!

I'm only a wannabe at the time - no houses currently available. But, I've fallen in love with the area and saw these lovely little homes and hope that someday I'll own one.
