I just bought a house, on the most northwest corner. We have already sent about five shipments of things to Cancun. My first shipment was made last October.
It consisted of a 1997 Suburban overloaded with soy sauce and MSG. My last shipment consisted of a 1996 Chevrolet Express van, 2 golf carts, a 1998
Expedition, two 16 ft trailers, a 1998 Ford Ranger, cases of clothes, Chinese
restaurant supplies, personal effects, electronics, laptops, etc. The nice thing about
sending merchandise to Mexico, is that you an decide how much tax you want to pay.
The reason why is that there is no set value on used items. It is totally arbitrary. On
the other hand, prices on imported items, in Mexico, can be sky high. So, it is not hard
to beat the best Mexican prices, when bringing items for resale.
Anyway, I am interested
in bringing two more golf carts. The cost of the permit for the golf cart is still about
$500. If anyone knows a cheaper way to get the permit from the economic secretary,
please inform me. Anyway, I am interested in bringing more golf carts for people
who need them. The advantage of a golf cart is that I can fit two of them on a sixteen
foot trailer. This is not the case with a small pickup. If anyone needs a golf cart,
send me an email, or call. You can tell me how much you would like to pay, and
what year and model you want.
